During times of social change, bisexual people were portrayed as hypersexual, untrustworthy, and politically regressive. This presentation explores how the gay and women's liberation movements in the 1970s and '80s constructed and perpetuated false conceptions of bisexuality. My project analyses how bisexual people were misunderstood, excluded, and closeted within movements which battled for inclusion and self-affirmation.
