Promotion News - Congratulations Marguerite La Caze and Janette McWilliam

Marguerite La Caze has been promoted to Professor, from 2024. Marguerite has been a wonderful contributor across teaching, research, supervision and of course service. Her research career has produced important work in European and feminist philosophy, and she has been awarded a number of significant fellowships and grants. In HPI, Marguerite has made substantial contributions to the School, most recently as Director of Teaching and Learning, and now as the School's Director of Indigenous Engagement. On top of this, she has been a wonderful teacher and supervisor. We are delighted to see her hard work and dedication has been acknowledged. 

Janette McWilliam has been promoted to Senior Lecturer, from 2024. We are so pleased to see Janette's incredibly hard work being highlighted. Janette has revolutionalised classical language teaching at UQ and beyond, and has had a significant impact in other areas of teaching as well. She has also excelled in various service roles including Director of Teaching and Learning and currently as Discipline Convener in Classics and Ancient History. In addition,  Janette has making an enormous contribution to the RD Milns Antiquities Museum, including the recent exhibition Wondrous Machines, which brought together researchers from across UQ. Congratulations Janette!
