Congratulations to Dr Ryan Williams, who received a University of Cambridge Vice-Chancellor’s Impact Award for Public Engagement and Societal Impact shortly before joining the School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry.
His research on Islam and society works on the borderlines of religious studies and criminology, challenging practitioners and policy-makers to think holistically about social inclusion and the role of religion in contemporary society. His research has had a wide-ranging impact on public understanding of Muslims and religion and for understanding well-being, social cohesion and security within public institutions and society generally.
