About HPI HDR Research Showcase
On behalf of the School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry, we’d like to invite you formally to our inaugural HDR Research Showcase on Friday 6 November 2020. The event will take place from 2-4pm in the Global Change Institute Building (#20).
In particular, we invite ALL Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates in the School to participate in this event by presenting an academic poster highlighting their research.
The idea is simple: to provide a welcoming and social forum for communicating research in a creative way. Academic posters are an increasingly common and popular medium at Humanities-based conferences for the presentation of research ideas; they also offer an excellent opportunity to share and discuss ongoing work in a setting very different from the traditional conference.
Two ‘poster planning sessions’ have been organised on 10 and 24 October to help interested students.
This event is being made possible with generous support from the School and the HASS Faculty. Catering will be provided and the School will cover the costs of printing. To this end, please send your digital poster files either to me (k.rennie@uq.edu.au) or Cassie Byrnes (cassandra.byrnes@uqconnect.edu.au) by 1 November at the latest. (The UQ poster template is attached to this email).
And last but not least, please register for the event here. Following strict regulations, we are limited to a certain number of places.
