Have a cup of tea, a Bex and a good lie down. (The spelling is correct.) Well, that's really advice for the end of the talk. Here is a dialogue between Alf and Betty:

A: Would you be likely to get a bad headache if you were told that much of what has been said about Formal Logic for the past century is all a lie?

B: Surely not.

A: Which? Headache or lie?

B: Lie

A: Do you think I exaggerate?

B: Yes. It cannot be THAT bad, surely.

A: Maybe not so much lying, but self-deceiving.

B: Tell me more.

A: Take Truth-tables, for example.

Further discussion and even dialogue will happen in the seminar.
