Presenter: Dr Joel Katzav (UQ)

I describe a series of cases in which analytic philosophers took over key philosophy journals and used the resulting control of journal content in order to marginalise non-analytic approaches to philosophy. I go on to consider what role these cases of journal capture might play in explaining the dominance of analytic philosophy in America and the United Kingdom, and in improving our understanding of the nature of analytic philosophy.
