By celebrating World Philosophy Day each year, on the third Thursday of November, UNESCO underlines the enduring value of philosophy for the development of human thought, for each culture and for each individual.

The UQ School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry in conjunction with the Queensland Philosophy Education Network (QPEN), and UQ Philosophy Research Higher Degree students will hold a range of activities to celebrate World Philosophy Day.
