Aims of the Conference

The theme can be interpreted fairly broadly, but there is a particular aim to assemble papers which analyse the Olympic experience of athletes from the ancient and the modern games. What was/is special about Olympic competition and Olympic athletes? Who were/are the greatest Olympic athletes? Why?

Conference Fee, Lunches, Welcome Reception, and Conference Dinner

A welcome reception will be held from 6pm on Friday, 6 July at the RD Milns Antiquities Museum, which is located on Floor 2 of the Michie Building (9). For those entering from the Great Court, Floor 2 is the entry level floor of the Michie Building.

The conference dinner will be held at the St Lucia Golf Club, beginning at 7pm on Saturday, 7 July. Delegates are asked to pay on the night for their respective shares of the bill.
